Hannah Montana Craze

It was one of the most anticipated concerts of the year. Hannah Montana, aka Miley Cyrus, took center stage at the CenturyTel Thursday night in Bossier City in the “Best of Both Worlds” tour. The tour has made national headlines after frustrated parents and fan club members complained about ticket availability. Mona Vienne has been trying for months to get her daughter, Makensie, tickets, but refused to pay the outrageous prices online. But in the end, she hit the jackpot. “Finally I went in and said best seats available and lucked up and got on the 8th row, on the floor.” The best part is Mona paid regular price for the tickets. So what are your thoughts on the Hannah Montana craze and ticket fiasco? Share your thoughts here on the Grapevine.

Fiasco is right… how sad it is that so many children could not attend tonight’s event because of the greed of others.
I hope they do some serious investigating and chenges will be made for the next event. I know some have been already put in place, but there is room for more.
It is deplorable that some of the tickets were on an auction site for $1000, and, in some instances, more.

I have something to say about the Hanna Montana concert, My great-granddaughtertried every resort to get tickets and could not, so her Mom brought her to the tail gate party and was telling one of the crew about how hard they tried to get tickets, he told her he was sorry but all he could do was get her an autographed postcard, he left and returned with that and 2 FREE tickets for her and her Mom to go and said enjoy the show, my granddaughter and great granddaughter both cried and hugged him, so i want to say thank you, thank you to who ever he was. They were even escorted to their seats. They said the show was fantastic.

I finally got tickets when they went on sale the second time. I had the most awsome time at the concert seeing her as both HANNAH and MILEY. Before the show I went to the Ultimate Miley Party. I may not of won anything but I got sing kareoke with some of the other girls.

It was money well spent for my 8 yr old’s birthday. I bought tickets off ebay! And, paid way more than I would have for me to attend a concert. Hannah Montana put on a great performance. Leaving the concert, my daughter said ‘This is the best day of my life!’ I’ve never been to CenturyTel when it was a packed house. But, she packed the house! We hope she will return to Bossier City. It was awesome!

It was wonderful! My kids had a blast. It was well worth the money. However, the hype about tickets being “sold out” is false. We went without tickets, walked up to the ticket window and was able to purchase 3 seats on the floor section 1 row L. Awesome seats!! I am thrilled I was able to attend but they need to revisit how they issue tickets. Everyone should have the opportunity to purchase the tickets when they go on sale. Not little by little.

The tickets were expensive, the crowds were crazy, the kids were loving it! It was by far the best concert I have ever been to, and it was worth every penny to see the look on my daughters face when Hannah Montana took the stage. To everyone who wasnt there, you missed a great show. People will be talking about this for weeks!

It was an awesome concert!!! My daughter had a fantastic time!!! I’ve never seen so many people in the Century Tel Center at one time, but they did a great job handling the crowds!!!!

My daughter loves Hannah Montana, however I was very disappointed when trying to buy tickets for her. My daughter is 7yrs old, her birthday was November 14. You can imagine the disappointment of not seeing Hannah. I am just outraged!

My husband was online and a friend was online during the first sale…….we couldn’t get tickets. during this last sale we couldn’t get tickets. I think someone should do something! and if scalping is illegal, why can they sell them for 4x the price on ebay? if everyone would stop buying them at those prices and those people were stuck with their tickets maybe they would stop doing it! and why did someone 4 states away get tickets but people here couldn’t!

It was really aggravating that this “sold out” concert had so many empty seats. There were eight empty seats next to us. I have been very upset since the tickets went on sale. I didn’t know anything about secondary brokers until this experience. I accidently paid $1000 for 4 tickets due to my 12 year old finding tickets on a secondary broker website. She thought the tickets were 4 for $214.00 because she didn’t see the (ea) at the top of the column. We immediately called for a refund as soon as we saw the total and to our great disappointment, they had a no refund policy. The attorney generals office and the better business bureau did not help in this matter because by submitting my order, I agreed to their terms and conditions. Everyone says that I should have seen a total before submitting but I didn’t. I have felt scammed and ripped off since that day. We tried to sell the tickets simply to recoup our loss and were unsucessful so my three daughters and myself did attend the concert. The girls had a wonderful time but I was rather miserable because of what this concert cost me. Something really needs to change because when you buy tickets from ticketmaster you are limited to how many you can purchase so why can these secondary brokers get so many the very first day they go on sale? This practice is much bigger and worse than scalping ever was to begin with. So why is it legal for these guys on the computer? I share my bad experience in the hope of saving someone else from making the same mistake as I made. My advice for buying tickets is to only go to the box office or ticketmaster.com. I also hope that awareness promotes the need for change in the way tickets can be sold.
